Our Mission

The Office of Family Life and Natural Family Planning helps families and engaged couples to fulfill their God-given mission in the Church and world by conveying a deeper understanding and reverence of marriage, family planning, parenthood and what it means to be a joy-filled Catholic Family.

The Office of Family Life and Natural Family Planning Diocesan Advisory Council, called forth by the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops, is composed of certified teachers, user couples, and religious, individually, dedicated to promoting, teaching, and supporting natural family planning. We exist in the Diocese of Wichita, Kansas, to promote and coordinate teaching programs for natural methods of family planning, promote and strive for minimum competency of all instructors, increase the awareness of natural methods of family planning and the benefits of these methods.

While being faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church stated in Casti Connubii, Catechism of the Catholic Church, Donum Vitae, Evangelium Vitae, Familiaris Consortio, Gaudium et Spes, and Humanae Vitae we believe that natural methods of family planning strengthen the spiritual and emotional life of the family and enhance the sacramental relationship of the married couple. We strive to increase the use of natural family planning methods in our Diocese.
